From Flax to Fibre demo at Fibrations

You can learn to make anything, including linen, at the Fibrations Demo tent. Artisans take raw flax and work away until they have…linen fibre. Pretty interesting and keeps a heritage skill alive.

Victoria’s Fibrations event

Fibrations is a celebration all of things fibre and it’s the premier event for knitters, spinners, weavers, and artisans of all kinds. Staged at the St. Anne’s convent orchard grounds, the 2013 event was the best yet. Here I am with Tin Can Knits’ Alexa Ludeman the famous designer of the Gramps sweater, among other fine patterns.
